Isn’t it cheaper if I just buy it online?

Admit it; we’ve all thought that if we buy a medical product we need online rather than buying it from the doctor’s office it’s going to be cheaper, and that if we need to return it will be a lot less embarrassing.

As a doctor I often look at websites selling foot products and am amazed at how many of them I know to be worthless. There are some products which are good if they are modified to fit a particular person. Then there are those vast numbers of products that we’re not sure about–they may work for a particular cause of a problem but not necessarily yours.

For example, many people have heel pain or plantar fasciitis. There are a number of causes of heel pain. If you spend a lot of money on something that stretches your Achilles tendon but that isn’t the cause of your heel pain, not only have you wasted money you’ve also prolonged your suffering!

Continuing with the heel pain example–if it turns out you do need a night splint, your insurance will almost always pay for the night splint, and even if it is applied to your deductible, the insurance company usually sets a fee which is about the same as the Internet price. There are no shipping charges, taxes and all adjustments are free. Doesn’t that make a lot more sense than buying a night splint over the Internet?

All of the products we offer for sale at our office are personally selected by us and we know them to perform well. They are quality products and they are not the normal foot care products you will find in a drugstore or even online. Dr. Gary Prant or his podiatric assistant will assist you in selecting the product which is right for your foot problem. If for any reason the products fail we gladly offer a no-questions-asked refund.

We do not actively market our specialty foot care products to the general public because we prefer to provide them as a service to patients under our care. That way we know exactly what foot care product is perfect for them. We are here to solve foot problems in the simplest and quickest way. Please call us at the Arbor Foot Health Center if we can help you.
